What is a GPS tracking device?
It is a device that uses Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and satellites to determine the geographic location of that device.
What does the device do?
Along with pinpointing the location of the device, it records and plots locations through time, records speed, and temperature.
How does it work?
It receives signals from a collection of 24 well-placed satellites to triangulate device location.
How do you install the device?
After selecting one of multiple discreet locations within the vehicle, we recommend securing it in the location with hook and loop tape, or with the magnetic mount supplied with the device. Because sheet metal can interfere with the performance of the device, we recommend a location with direct proximity to any window in your vehicle (such as in the dash, the cavity above the glove box, or under the speaker shelf of the rear window).
What kind of batteries does the device use?
Two (2) standard AAA batteries.
How long do the batteries last?
Using a built-in vibration detector, our device can operate on the same batteries for up to month (as much as 15 times longer than competing products, whose average battery life is about 48 hours).
How can I extend the battery life?
Battery life is directly dependent upon which setting is chosen for the recording interval. The recording interval can be set as low as 5 seconds, and as high as 1 minute. In most tracking situations, the 1 minute interval effective and appropriate, and extends battery life.
Are there places where the device loses reception?
Yes. Because the device must receive satellite signals in order to record location, the device might lose reception in parking decks, garages, steel structures, tunnels, etc. The device constantly records while the vehicle is in motion. Consequently, it will pinpoint the location just prior to entering such “dead zones.”
How do I get the information from the device?
The user simply plugs the device into any 2.0 USB port, found on virtually all computers made since 2001, and the device plots the path of travel using GoogleEarth TM (a free download).
Do I have to have a computer to access this information?
Yes. The user must have access to a computer with a 2.0 USB port and the free download of GoogleEarth TM.
Are there any additional fees?
No. Unlike the majority of GPS tracking devices, Paramount passes on our free access to the Global Positioning System to our customers. For the life of the product, you will maintain this access.
Can I put this in a vehicle I don’t own?
No! Our products utilize highly sensitive technology for the purpose of tracking what you have the right to track: your vehicles.

How do I know device is effective?

How big is the device?
Being about the size of a pack of chewing gum, the device is easily concealed within a vehicle. It measures just 4.5” long, 1.25” wide, and .75” inch high.
How accurate is the device?
Our device is able to overcome the geographical inconsistencies of the earth (mountains, elevations, etc.) and is accurate within 2.5 meters (fewer than 10 feet) horizontally.
Is the device durable and weatherproof?
Our device is contained within a weatherproof casing. Like any electronic device, it is not recommended that the device be submerged in water, which may damage the product.

Can I buy this product directly through Paramount’s main office?
No. Paramount only offers its products through Independent Sales Representatives, based out of our Authorized dealerships. The main office will, however, put you in touch with the appropriate dealership.
What are my payment options?
Every Paramount dealership accepts all major credit cards, money orders, cashier’s checks, and personal checks (personal checks must clear before order is processed). Some dealerships accept cash payment.
Why does Paramount only collect sales tax on Tennessee sales?
By law, Paramount is required to collect taxes in the state where its corporate headquarters are located. Those receiving shipment in other states should contact their own state’s tax office to determine if they are required submit a state consumption tax.
Shipping & Returns
What are my shipping options?
Paramount offers discreet shipping options, meaning you can ship this product to any location you designate, including your local dealership. In the event the customer chooses the local dealership’s shipping address, your receipt will delayed until your sales agent can contact you to schedule a personal delivery.
How long will it take to receive my shipment?
It depends on many factors; however Paramount makes every effort to ship your product as soon as payment clears (typically within 3-5 business days).
What is your return policy?
Paramount only accepts return of products with manufacturing defect. All other sales are final.
Can I return the device directly to the manufacturer?
No. In order to return a Paramount purchase, you must first contact customer support to determine is the product has a manufacturing defect: (866)446-8681. If a manufacturing defect is determined, you must then contact Paramount’s Executive office to receive a return authorization number: customer@ParamountTracking.com. Once the return is completed, the customer will be provided store credit for item replacement. In the event a product is returned without prior authorization, Paramount is unable to provide credit.
How long do I have to return the device if there is a manufacturing defect?
While Paramount will provide customer service through our distribution center as long as you own the device, the customer must contact Paramount for return authorization within 72 hours of receipt.
Do your products have a warranty?
No. Because the average user can get most of the information they need within a short timeframe, Paramount is unable to accept returns accept in the case of manufacturer defect.
